Figure 5.6.  Increasing the priority of the RAD communication thread, at the onset of packet routing, reduces the average packet interval time from ~180ms (a) to ~50ms (b), for radar packets en route to the RAD display station.  This decrease was concurrent with an increase in the average serial packet interval time, from ~180ms  (a) to ~220ms (b), recorded at the other 2 display stations.  Also of interest are two seemingly periodic anomalies, on both plots, where radar packet travel intervals are elevated.
