The Melting States

Disordered states have no discernible ring structure.

These states are sometimes referred to as melted states because the lattice of cusps and folds which characterizes the ordered states has given way to a liquid-like motion. The critical value of the flow rate at which the disordered state is observed depends on the equivalence ratio.
