CS 2734 Computer Organization II
Laboratory 2 is an introduction to binary arithmetic and representations of signed numbers. Both sessions meet in the classroom. You must stay for the entire first session. If you get a perfect score on the test, you do not have to attend the second session.
Schedule for Session 1: You will be given a test on binary arithmetic. You will have approximately 25 minutes to complete the test. No calculators are allowed. If you finish the test early, you can bring it to Mr. Castaneda for grading. During the second 25 minutes, Mr. Castaneda will select groups of students to work the test problems on the board while he is grading and returning the tests. You must stay for the entire class even if you finish early.
Schedule for Session 2: Mr. Castaneda will work practice problems and answer question material for the first 25 minutes. He will then administer a test on the material during the second 25 minutes. Here are some sample problems of the type you will be expected to know in lab.
